The National Centre for Autism and Mental Health (NCAMH) was founded by Jenny Phaure a neuro-affirmative Child, Adult and Family Based Therapist specialising in Autism and Mental Health. Jenny is also the Clinical Director of NCAMH.
Jenny Phaure has a long history of working in the Autism field, completing her first clinical training 30 years ago as part of a Learning Disability Team within a Mental Health Trust, undertaking clinical work with autistic clients. She has worked in NHS Mental Health Trusts and for a wide range of national and regional charities including the National Autistic Society, Benardo’s, Refuge, Brook Advisory Centres and Mind.
NCAMH was set up support the development of neuro-affirmative and responsive mental health services, and to ensure that all autistic people (diagnosed and undiagnosed) receive access to the right mental health support at the right time. This involves expanding the network of neuro-affirmative therapists, services, practices, and settings (including the development of autism and neurodivergent pathways of care and support).
NCAMH currently offers trainings and workshops relating to all aspects of Autism and Mental Health across the UK and internationally.
